FERN organized a workshop on Research Methodology Course and Development of Clinical Protocols for Collaborative Research in August 2023. This course witnessed participation from 433 junior consultants and clinical researchers from Asian region. The course was mentored by 43 experts from 14 countries. 
The course covered topics like Introduction to clinical research and protocol design, phase wise study designs, statistics, overcoming challenges in clinical research and integration on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in clinical trials.
A total of 17 novel protocols were received out of which 14 were shortlisted. Among these, 10 protocols were eventually finalized for further development of collaborative research.
